Kügelgen House – Museum of Dresden Romanticism

The baroque bourgeois house from the time of Augustus the Strong is the home of a small but impressive museum, which is found in the historic rooms of the first floor. They used to be the home of the artists' family Von Kügelgen – a family of painters and writers. You may know "Bygone Days: Or, an Old Man's Reminiscences of His Youth", one of their famous literary works. Here, Goethe stood behind the window to watch Napoleon's invasion in Dresden in 1812. You will be invited to listen to some music and take a short trip to Dresden Romanticism.
